Young people are shaking up how we think about organizing to build electoral power. Three dynamic young organizers from our grassroots partners Advance Carolina (NC), Detroit Action (MI), and LUCHA (AZ) are going to give the Flip the Vote community an inside look into the issues that energize young voters and the momentum that is driving them to the polls.

We’re thrilled to announce a $25k match for this event! Thanks to a generous member of our FtV community, every dollar raised towards our Gen-Z-focused event will be DOUBLED!

In Part 2 of Flip the Vote’s special series about the Supreme Court, we will learn about the activism of immigrant communities and women who have, and continue to, lead efforts to protect reproductive and voting rights, take action to mitigate climate change, and advance gun safety measures. In Part 1 of the series, we learned about how we got here and how we organize to move forward to counter the Supreme court’s devastating decisions.

Join the next installment of our series “SCOTUS Is Broken and Grassroots Organizing Is the Remedy” on August 24 at 5:30pm PT / 8:30pm ET. LUCHA Executive Director, Alejandra Gomez, and Dahlia Lithwick, author, lawyer and host of the podcast Amicus, will join us to dive deeper into the court’s most recent term and what comes next.

The Supreme Court ended its term with one devastating decision after another. While we despair about the future of reproductive and civil rights, climate protection, and gun safety efforts, we at Flip the Vote also find solace and hope in the tireless work of our grassroots organizing partners, whose efforts can help us realize the potential of a “more perfect union.”

Join us on July 28 at 5 pm PT/7 pm CT/8 pm ET with Angela Lang from Milwaukee’s Black Leaders Organizing for Communities and author and constitutional historian Lawrence Goldstone to learn about the historical context of today’s Supreme Court and about how BLOC is working at the local, state, and federal level to build power and create a more inclusive, equitable, and just American democracy.

Heard about chasing, harvesting, and curing ballots? Concerned about naked ballots? Join us for a lively discussion about the myriad ways that national, state, and local activists are collaborating to protect the 2020 election from interference, intimidation, and chaos.

Featured speakers Jamila Martin, Michigan State Advisor at Movement Voter Project, national Fight Back Table participant, and Angel Gober, Western PA Organizing Director at One Pennsylvania, are on the front lines planning for rapid-response actions in key states to ensure that our election is fair and legitimate.

Join Flip the Vote for our upcoming speaker event on Sept. 20 at 5:30 pm PT/ 8:30 ET.  Ignored No More: The Power of the Latino Electorate will feature Tomás Robles Jr. of LUCHA and Claudia Rodríguez of Latino Decisions in conversation about stories from the trenches and the latest data trends regarding Latino voter engagement.
